Dead Deadmau5 and an Umbrella Security Service

So, I had the idea that Deadmau5 needed to be more… dead. Presenting the Fundamental Dead Deadmau5 head. Does that just make it Headmau5? Whatever.

I used a 14″ inch light globe for the base, insulation foam with threaded metal rods for the ears, and some 100 mm clear Christmas ornaments for the eyes. An adjustable hard hat is installed inside to fit anyone’s head perfectly.

Sketch design on 14″ light globe
Cut holes for nose, mouth, eyes
Offset cutouts in about an inch with ABS
Route out mdf circles for the mouth
Mouth insert glue up
Grind out a channel for threaded rod
Threaded rods ready to glue to other half of ears
Fill recess with body filler
Paint the inside of the ornament, keeps the outside of the globe shiny and clear
Ear mock-up
Ears carved with cracks
Primer’d
First coat of paint
Mesh bent to fit mouth
Mouth mesh installed
Final touch, airbrush the teeth and cracked ears
